Springville, Utah, April 14, 2011 - Digital Technology International, DTI™, announced a long-term agreement with The Advocate, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana newspaper, owned and operated by the Manship family, to manage its content publishing infrastructure with DTI ContentPublisher and DTI Cloud.

The Advocate, a daily newspaper founded in 1909 and 2theadvocate.com website, will have its content and software managed through DTI Cloud, DTI's high-performance cloud publishing platform. DTI Cloud will enable The Advocate to go online rapidly with their future-proof DTI editorial system and without the capital expenditures required in an on-premises installation.  The Advocate's news team will use DTI ContentPublisher to create digital and mobile content, dynamic Web pages, including support for Open Source Web applications.

"The Advocate has long been the voice of the community in Baton Rouge. We have successfully served our community for many years with systems that have far exceeded their normal lifespan," said Richard Shurley, CIO, The Advocate . "We wanted to find a system that would tightly integrate our news and digital operations. We needed an innovative vendor partner that would provide a foundational solution now, and for our future technology needs. We believe that DTI shares our passion and vision for the industry's future, and that DTI ContentPublisher deployed in DTI Cloud is the solution."

DTI ContentPublisher will improve The Advocate's editorial operational efficiencies by merging print and digital workflows across their news organization. DTI Cloud provides "future-proofing" because The Advocate will always be current with the latest DTI software and features. DTI Cloud offers The Advocate an opportunity to reduce costs and the ability to respond rapidly to the changing demands of digital news publishing and new devices such as mobile and tablet PCs, for example.

"The Advocate and DTI teams got to know each other well working through an in-depth evaluation process. We had the opportunity to really understand their need to transform their content operations in order to provide faster, richer content to their communities," said Dan Paulus, vice president, Sales, DTI. "Our cloud publishing platform also provides The Advocate with an agile solution that will grow over time to address new market needs and create a competitive business advantage into the future."
