26.05.11 - An innovative new app from Nokia and Independent.ie means you can now browse through the Irish Independent on your Nokia Smartphone. The app allows users to read full articles across a range of categories including breaking news, world, sport, business and lifestyle. The app is designed to ensure easy navigation between articles without leaving the application and offers Smartphone users ‘best in class’ usability and stability. Content is updated throughout the day and news is delivered in a simple and effective format, organised by category. Users can share favourite articles with friends and increase or decrease the font to suit their individual needs.

Commenting on the launch of the new app, Shane O’Brien, Services and Software Manager for Nokia Ireland, said: ‘We are delighted to add this new app from www.independent.ie  to the Ovi Store. Growing the Ovi Store locally to offer a wide variety of useful and fun apps is of huge importance to us at Nokia Ireland.
